FIRST-TIME FLYER

As in all sports that require a minimum of balance, when one is learning to fly for the first time, control and mastery of one’s movements is not something that comes naturally.

In order to maintain the highest standards of safety and quality, the current policy at SkyVenture® Montréal prevents us from offering our basic First-time Flyer and Repeat Flyer packages to persons who weigh more than 230 lbs., the number of minutes involved being insufficient.

While still prioritizing the quality and safety aspects of the experience, the International Academy of Indoor Skydiving has developed a specialized program to enable persons who weigh more than 230 pounds to experience the adventure of indoor skydiving in a safe and supportive environment.

Thanks to this new program launched by the Academy, your experience, from start to finish, will be supervised by a qualified private instructor, whose task is to prepare you to fly in complete safety.

You will receive both theoretical and practical classroom instruction in the basic position to adopt in the flight chamber. Your instructor will show you a specific series of exercises that you must practice and then perform, so that you can interact with the wind, and maneuver your body up, down, forward and backward, as well as do turns, which are the five fundamentals of freefall acrobatics.

Subsequently, your instructor will accompany you to the staging area and the flight chamber, in order to guide your every move and, finally, will review the whole experience with you, through the video tools that are made available to you.
