Wind Tunnel Instructor

Description

SkyVenture Montreal will employ approximately 20 instructors per tunnel. Training for this position will include 4 60-hour weeks and will be followed by a 2-year contract.

Duties

The instructor will be part of a 4-person team, including the Team Leader. The instructor must be able to endure hard physical work for relatively long periods of time. Working hours will often be irregular, including nights and weekends. Instructor candidates must be willing to train in spite of these difficulties and constraints. The instructor candidate must be open to ongoing training in customer service and safety and in flight instruction in general, which is constantly evolving.

  • Fitness qualification: A tunnel instructor’s job is a physically demanding one and all applicants must be in excellent physical shape, flexible, in good health and with no previous injuries that would affect performance or endurance in the tunnel. Applicants will be required to pass the following tests:
    • Dead lift test: ability to lift a 75-pound bag and place it on a 36’’-high table.
    • Run in place (knees to waist) for 45 seconds.
    • 20 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, 6 pull-ups and 6 straight-legged toe touches.
